About Me

I have been interested in art since childhood. I found myself increasingly drawn to painting after becoming a mother. Spells at night-school and encouragement from my sister, an art teacher herself, gave me the desire to start painting actively and join art societies in Ruislip and High Wycombe.

Working largely from photographs, I mostly paint watercolour scenes, although I also paint                 in acrylic and gouache for those bright Mediterranean scenes.

I am Exhibition Secretary for the Society of Ruislip Artists in West London and a member of Hillingdon Artists and I exhibit regularly with the societies I belong to. I have also exhibited      further afield and have held private exhibitions with other local artists at galleries near my home.

Most Sundays will see me manning my stall at Bayswater Road (very close to Queensway tube    station and Whiteleys store). I have exhibited in High Wycombe, Amersham, Southlands – West Drayton, Watford, Denham, Uxbridge and Ruislip libraries and The Cow Byre in Ruislip.

As I mentioned, I paint largely from photographs. Why not enquire about having that favourite  photo of somewhere or someone special to you, including a special pet, transformed into a     painting? You could choose the size you want – and even have it framed in a colour to match           your décor! Or better still, why not surprise someone dear to you by having me paint a picture especially for them! Now that would be a truly “original” idea!
