Society Of Ruislip Artists

The Society of Ruislip Artists (SRA) was formed in 1945 and is the longest running society
in the borough.  The Society meets the first Tuesday of each month, mainly in the Winston    Churchill Hall Lounge, Ruislip or occasionally in The Great Barn, Ruislip.  We have Art demonstrations by Professional Artists, and guests are always very welcome to join
us. Meetings are from 7.30 – 9.30 pm - guests £3.

The Society also takes part in various indoor and outdoor Exhibitions and during the summer months we have outdoor painting days.  This year we will be holding a painting day on Monday,
1st July at The Coy Carp in Harefield.   The Society likes to take part in local art events
and in the past we have taken part in the Medieval Festival which usually takes place on the
Manor Farm Site in August, although unfortunately not this year.
We hold Quiz and Supper Evenings for our members and their friends and families which
always prove very pleasant social occasions.  We also sometimes try and organise an outing
for our members - previous outings, a cream tea cruise from Runnymede and National Trust
properties, which always prove to be very enjoyable outings.

Members of the Society: Past long time members of the Society  Beryl Shaw and Joe Latham,
and present members Joyce Carpenter, Exhibition Secretary and our Chairman, Kay McGoay.
